Welcome to TILT where week five is all about comfort.
Details.
Baby Blankets. Tonight I bought some fabric so that I can learn how to make my own baby blankets for when the little one arrives. It's a little pathetic that I'm already wanting to make & buy things for the little one, but who knows, perhaps all this crafting could turn lucrative in the near future. I just can't wait to make my first blanket! Step one: get a sewing machine.
Hot Chocolate. This is a beverage that makes me think of the fall & winter, little mmallows & snuggling up in some cozy pj's or being all wrapped up in a duvet with a loved one -- even if that loved one happens to be a pet. I love hot chocolate in a big mug -- something good for holding with two hands. It has to be just creamy enough, with just enough chocolate and little marshmallows (the fluffy kind, not the little crunchy ones that come in canned hot chocolate) and if there is real whipped cream then that seals the deal. Mmm liquid happiness -- bonus points if you love white hot choc as much as I do.
Soft Sheets. We used to have a fabulous set of green jersey sheets for our bed until one of our cats gave birth on them. Yeah... about that... Now we have two pillow cases & one sheet, but alas, no fitted jersey sheet. I miss it oh so much. Someday soon when I have an extra $30 I'm buying the espresso brown ones. Deliciously comfortable.

So i feel like i cant do makeup anymore! I can never figure out what colors to wear anymore....i havent had all pink hair before so does anyone have any inspiration pictures of you or other people with sweet makeup and pink hair??
Heres what i've been doing lately...
No shadow, liquid liner and false eyelashes...very boring. I need help!

I'm downstairs at the Bean right now & there is a news team doing a story about the fundraiser going on in the side room - t-shits, bags, hats... all pretty adorable... there is definitely a star wars shirt & bag. Right now there is a bright video light shining in my face as they are interviewing the teacher who helped organize the whole show. Mostly it's a really awkward interview & the light is making the room feel hotter than it should. I hope I'm not in the background of this lady's interview. They have to keep redoing parts of the interview because of noises... ie. the ambulance that just drove by REAL LOUD LIKE. The fundraiser was done by a bunch of kids from a class who wanted to do a fundraiser for orphans in Zimbabwe or something like that & now they are going to interview one of the little girls who did one of the shirts. Cute, cute, cute. I am clearly typing as though I'm still asleep... which is how I feel, so my apologies. Decaf tea is delicious, but will not wake you up. Peace.
[edit] Fak. Now that photographer from the Examiner who I really freaking dislike is here to take photos & such for the same event. He's walking closer & I'm thinking about kicking him in the shin. Grumble, grumble.

Hello beautiful people!
I have NOT posted in what seems like forever, I have been so discouraged by my make-up that I can't seem to really work at it anymore.
But I turned in a resume at MAC and I realized before I even attempted to get that job...I needed to practice way way way more on my eye shadow.
This was something I did yesterday, and the yellow came out too dark, the black is too low and the shape kills me.
HELP! I feel like I got really really good for a while and now I'm struggling again =[
ps this was inpired by deadbolt pixie if you hadn't noticed!

I'm getting a tattoo on Thursday. I just bought Lydia the cutest anniversary gift ever. My mother ran away to some undisclosed location. I need to pick up my paycheck from last week. Anyone who just recently started reading my journal must think I'm incredibly boring; I am. I want to watch the sun come up, swigging tequila & cuddling on the itchy grass.

so today there was a bank robbery at the credit union across from my condos.
(you see that building there on the left? that's where i live. the credit union is on the right.)
i had to wait in the parking lot of the convenience store for 45 minutes while people with bullet-proof vests and big guns ran past me.
that's enough excitement for one day.
living at 7th st and indian school is a blast! haha.

July 31st I am going to portland to see Boris, and to do LAST THURSDAY! Stoked as fuck, serendipitous.
I also have the rest of the weekend off, so I might stick around... if someone would like to host and entertain me, and then take me to the bus station on Sunday cause I work Monday at 6.45am. Perhaps they will let me know on phone or internet and we will form a plan. Perhaps there will be more than one.
Everyday I'm workin' the morn. Everyday I feel like a troll corpse when I get off at 3, I go home and wash the chocolate off and and nap, sometimes til 5.30 when I do yoga, or til whenever when I wake up and eat produce. I am so smitten with the growers market, I bring home such huge $1.50 heads of lettuce and berries, cucumbers so fragrant, and on Saturdays I get stuffed with Pad Thai. Yum, Oregon, population Melia.
I started a bank in a bottle. I save.
Miniature vacation soon, thanks.
